Hubble and our Altered Universe

Celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Hubble Space Telescope with leading scientists, as they discuss Hubble’s most important scientific discoveries including Hubble’s only Nobel Prize.

Sara Seager, MIT; Adam G. Riess, Johns Hopkins University and Space Telescope Science Institute (STScI); Priyamvada (Priya) Natarajan, Yale; and Matt Mountain, President of the Association of Universities for Research in Astronomy (AURA) join moderator, Ira Flatow, host of Science Friday® on PRI, Public Radio International.

From the surprising discovery of an accelerating universe, to the ability to map dark matter, and the first measurements of the chemical makeup of an exoplanet’s atmosphere, the Hubble Space Telescope has altered our very understanding of the universe and our place within it.
